Biography

J&J Designs was established in San Francisco in 1989 by Cecy Jones and her mother Marilyn. Prior to this Cecy attended an art school in London and then an Internship in Florence, Italy with premier textile and fashion designer Emilio Pucci. This valuable experience inspired her to create and design at the highest level while increasing her knowledge of fine silk and fabric. Marilyn and Cecy produced custom scarves for museums, schools, nonprofit organizations corporation and retail stores. Marilyn's passed in 2019 and since then Cecy has expanded her business to include digitally printed scarves and menswear with her husband Ken. Cecy hand draws and paints screen printed scarves in abstract and traditional designs that help raise thousands of dollars for noteworthy causes around the world. "What we considered to be an 'artistic project' emerged into a world wide endeavor, Jones explained. " We've gone global and I love the fact that I continually get to meet new people and organizations. I learn their history and through the interview process develop what's most important to them and tell their story through my art".
